Secret Lives of Mormon Wives[]

Season 1[]

101 Whitney-Confessional

In The First Book of Taylor, Whitney, 30, is one of the OG members of MomTok. She returns Utah with her husband Conner after two months of living in Hawaii. She blames their move on Taylor's live video accusing all of MomTok of being involved in the swinging scandal, which led to a lot of rumors about Whitney's family. Her departure and return was abrupt for everyone in the group, with many not knowing why she left or when she's coming back. There are also rumors of Conner having been on Tinder. Regardless, she wants to bury the hatchet with Taylor, who she doesn't have fond feelings toward after the scandal "blew up" MomTok and Whitney's life.

Mikayla and Whitney meet with Taylor to discuss the fallout of the scandal and the issues they have with her. Whitney mimics Taylor's mannerisms to Mikayla and mocks her breast surgery. When Taylor arrives, the women act friendly before they bring up their issues. Whitney no longer trusts Taylor and doesn't want to tell her anything because she doesn't know if it will be blasted everywhere. Taylor won't apologize for the post because she was worried about what people online were thinking. The internet was picking apart all of their marriages as a result. Taylor is frustrated because members of MomTok were begging her to take it down while also joking about it on their pages. Ironically, production shows TikToks of Mikayla and Whitney making light of the situation. Taylor accuses them of kicking her out of MomTok after she brought them all in. The meeting does end well as Taylor apologizes for not taking their friendships into account before posting her video.

Whitney talks with Conner as she doesn't want to keep lying to people about why they left Utah. He becomes emotional, apologizing once again for putting her through everything as a result of his addiction to adult sites and his Tinder profile. He doesn't want to be seen as the victim and wants a distinction between the two. He apologizes to her for what happened. He is working on himself but doesn't care what anyone outside of his inner circle thinks. She's worried about what their partitioners will think.

101 Whitney-Red Hair

She calls a MomTok meeting with Mayci, Mikayla, Taylor, and Demi. She cries while telling them the truth about why she moved to Hawaii. She thought the profile was a joke but it wasn't. She found out afterward that he had been struggling with his addiction, though it was going on for their entire marriage. She is adamant that it didn't go further then online, but she is taking Conner's word for it. She admits that she blamed moving on the swinger drama, but she really left because she wanted to get away from everything so she could think about everything. She apologizes to Taylor for blaming her. As the girls rally around Whitney, Taylor reveals a trauma of her own - she's four week pregnant but actively going through a miscarriage. She's been in and out of the hospital for days. Whitney, in her confessional, is annoyed that Taylor stole her moment.

Relationships[]

MomTok[]

S2 People Magazine-Whitney Demi
  • Demi Engemann: Demi was possibly one of Whitney's most outspoken opponents after Season 1, strongly disliking Whitney's actions and choices. She didn't have anything nice to say about the woman and was vehemently against her rejoining MomTok. She didn't trust Whitney and disliked how she spoke about the girls on podcasts after leaving the group. This all changed during the second half of Season 2, when Demi and Whitney slowly rekindled their friendship. Though it played out on-screen as being sudden, both women revealed they had been talking for a while and working on things; it just wasn't shown by production. Their reconciliation turned to friendship as they aligned themselves together against Taylor. They both weren't happy with Taylor's public feuding with MomTok over petty drama and her inability to take accountability. Demi supported Whitney being reinstated as a member of a MomTok. Taylor and some of the other girls accused Demi of only forgiving Whitney because she needed an alliance against Taylor, but both women have denied the accusation.
  • Jennifer Affleck:
  • Jessi Ngatikaura:
  • Layla Taylor:
  • Mayci Neeley:
  • Mikayla Matthews: Whitney and Mikayla have a long history, much of which isn't show on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. They were best friends for many years and as such, had a few unspoken resentments. They had a major falling out in Season 1 and have not recovered. In Season 2, Mikayla is incredibly outspoken against Whitney, to the point she's been accused by fans of "bullying" Whitney, though Mikayla doesn't view it that way. She sees it as finally holding Whitney accountable.
  • Taylor Frankie Paul:
